NAME: LINDA LUCILLE CRISP BELL

Linda Lucille Crisp Bell, 69, resident of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, passed away on May 27, 2017 at her home. She was born in Gaston County, she was the daughter of Scott and Betty Giles Crisp. She was preceded in death by her father Scott Miller Crisp, her brother Scott Miller Crisp Jr, and grandson Frank Lee Thornburg. She was a retired Elementary & Middle School teacher in Gaston and Cleveland County Schools. She was very active at the Patrick Senior Center as a volunteer and as a member of the crocheting class. She was a volunteer at the Schiele Museum and Historic Brattonsville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 51 years: Frank Douglas Bell, Kings Mountain North Carolina

Son: Gavin Seth Bell and wife Ashley, Kings Mountain, NC

2 Daughters: Wendi B. Summerlin and husband George, Stanley, NC and Adrian B. Thornburg and husband Craig, Gastonia, NC

Mother: Betty Giles Crisp, Gastonia, NC

Brother: David Allen Crisp, Gastonia, NC

Sister: Susan Crisp Martin, Bryan, TX

5 Grandchildren: Lanie & Evan Summerlin, Ryan Thornburg, Hunter & Josie Bell

Numerous nieces and nephews

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, May 31, 2017, 2:00 PM Crowders Creek ARP Church, Gastonia NC officiated by Rev. Stuart Fowler

VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the church

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers- Donations to Friends of Crowders Mountain State Park, Gaston Hospice or a charity of your choice

Bobbie Holland (Pilkington)

Linda fought a valiant fight during her illness. She was an amazingly talented woman. Her friendship will be greatly missed.

Larry Cook

I remember  having several classes together, I suppose due to the alphabetical  listing of our names being so close. She was always so pleasant and cheerful. I know that she is missed.
