Obituary

Donald Lamonte Creed, Jr., 70, of Davidson, NC passed away on September 25, 2017. Don was born in Pittsburg, PA on May 17, 1947 to the late Donald Lamonte Creed, MD and Nancy Jean Means. Don was an avid historian and world traveler who loved to share his knowledge with those around him. He was a great conversationalist who was able to interject humor and personal life experiences into delightful exchanges. Don provided much valuable advice and perspective. He was warm, caring and thoughtful to those around him. Don's wife, daughter, and grandchildren were his cherished inner circle. He was proud to serve his country in the Navy at The Pentagon during the Vietnam Era. Don was married to Susan Karasiewicz Creed for 34 years and she was the love of his life. Their devotion and love for each other was evident to all. Don will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Susan Karasiewicz Creed; daughter, Kelley Rae Creed; grandchildren, Rafe and Meena Creed; brothers, Jeff and Michael Creed; and sister, Leah Margerison. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in the chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society and Alzheimer's Association.
