Cheryl "Lynn" Hoots (Shuler)

LYNN Hoots SHULER
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Lynn Hoots Shuler, 57, died at her home Dec. 7, 2004, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Winston Salem, N.C., to Kelly Garland Hoots and Jane McSwain Hoots.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 6 p.m. Thursday, Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, 200 Buncombe Street


VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the home, and after service in the Church Parlor
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended Ashley High School in Gastonia, N.C. where she graduated and continued on to Limestone College in Gaffney, S. C. On June 8, 1968, she united in marriage with Farley Sineth Shuler in Cherryville, N. C.


In 1978, Lynn and Farley and their daughter, Garland, moved to Greenville. Lynn and Farley then opened La-Z-Boy Showcase Shoppe which started Lynn’s career in interior design. With her incredible talent Lynn moved on to doing commercial and residential interior design for many years.
Lynn was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church where she served her Lord in many different roles. Board of Stewards, Communion Co-Chairman, Wedding Committee, Sunshine Committee of Roundtable Class.


SURVIVORS: Her husband, Farley; her daughter, Garland; two grandchildren, Rivers Ivester, Carter Ivester; her father, Kelly G. Hoots of Ocala, Fla.; and two brothers, Greg Hoots and Scott Hoots of Winston-Salem. She is further survived by one niece, other relatives and many friends.
